Redeem a partner offer
Redeem a free Gaggle subscription period from a partner QR code or link, including the terms, queued offers and what the status messages mean.
Redeem a partner offer
Some partners give a free period of Gaggle with a product, for example with a new device. The offer comes as a QR code or a link. Scanning it opens the redeem page in Gaggle.
Redeem an offer
- Scan the QR code or open the link on your phone. Open the full link, because it carries the partner, product and code that Gaggle needs.
- If you are a guest, Gaggle shows We need you to sign in to redeem your promotional offer. Sign in with email, Google or Apple. After you sign in, you return to the offer. See Sign in and create an account.
- Read the offer. The page shows the partner logo, a description and the Gaggle plan the offer gives.
- Tick the box to accept the offer terms. Tap View to read the full terms, then tap the X to close them.
- If the offer asks to share equipment data, a second box appears. Tick it if you agree. Read its text first, because it comes from the partner.
- Tap the button at the bottom. It reads Redeem followed by the length of the offer, for example Redeem 3 months Free. On a standard offer, the button stays off until you tick the terms box.
When it works, Gaggle shows Congratulations! and confirms that your subscription is activated for the period. If the offer includes equipment, Gaggle adds it to your profile. You find it under Profile > Equipment.
After redeeming, tap Let’s go fly!. If you have not finished onboarding, the button reads Complete Onboarding and takes you to the first onboarding step. See Onboarding.
Queued offers
If your account already has a subscription, the button reads Queue followed by the length, for example Queue 3 months Free. Gaggle queues the offer instead of starting it straight away. A note on the page explains when it starts. After you queue it, Gaggle confirms that your subscription has been queued for that period.
Early adopters
Some offers are for pilots who joined Gaggle early. If that is your offer, the page says Thank you for being an early adopter of Gaggle! You already have a lifetime Adventurer subscription. You do not get a new period. There is no terms box to tick, so the button is available straight away. The button reads Register Equipment and registers the equipment from the offer on your profile. Gaggle then confirms Your equipment has been registered.
If the offer does not work
The page shows one of these messages:
- Invalid promotion link: the link or QR code is incomplete. Scan the QR code again, or open the full link.
- Promotion could not be loaded: Gaggle could not reach the offer. Tap Try again.
- The offer has already been redeemed: someone has already used this code.
- You have already redeemed an offer from this promotion: each pilot can redeem one offer from a promotion.
- This offer is expired: the offer is past its end date.
- Equipment could not be verified: the equipment in the offer did not pass the check.
Tap Home on these pages to leave. If you think the offer should be valid, the page shows an email address to contact: [email protected].
