Shared Flights
See what you can view when another pilot shares a flight with you, including stats, replay and where it scores.
Shared Flights
Another pilot’s profile > Recordings > tap a flight
When a pilot shares a flight with you, you see a read-only version of their recording. You cannot change anything on it.
Open a shared flight
There are two ways in.
- Open a link the pilot sent you with Share Link.
- Open the pilot’s profile and open their flights. The list is titled Recordings and shows the flights they have shared with you. Scroll down to load more. Tap a flight to open it.
If the pilot has not shared the flight with you, Gaggle shows “This recording is private. Please contact the owner to request access.” If the pilot deleted it, you see “This recording has been deleted.”
Pilots choose who can see a flight with Sharing on the recording: Everyone, My Groups, Close Friends or Private. Flights that score on a challenge are always public. See Flight recording.
What you see
A shared flight has two tabs.
- Stats shows the map and the pilot’s wing and engine, the wind, the challenge card if the flight scored on a challenge, and the distance, speed, altitude, climb rate, height above ground and G-force cards with their graphs. Touch or drag on a graph to read a point.
- Leaderboards shows where the flight scores in groups, meetups and challenges.
The pilot’s notes, sharing settings, export and delete actions are not shown to you.
Replay a shared flight
Tap Replay Flight to watch the flight on the map or in 3D. Replay is included in the Frequent Flyer and Adventurer plans. If the flight was recorded on one of those plans, you can replay it without a plan of your own. See Replay a flight.
