Missing Flight Data
Why a recording can have gaps on Android and how to stop battery saver from cutting your recorder.
Missing Flight Data
Profile > All Flights > open a recording > warning icon
On Android, Gaggle checks each recording for gaps. If it finds missing data, a warning icon appears at the top of the recording.
What the warning means
Tap the warning icon to open Missing Flight Data. The sheet explains that the flight has missing data, which may have been caused by Android’s battery saver mode. To record everything, turn off battery saver before your next flight.
Battery saver can limit apps that run in the background. If it limits the recorder during a flight, your track can have gaps.
Fix it
- Tap the warning icon on the recording.
- Read the advice on the Missing Flight Data sheet.
- Tap Don’t Kill My App. This opens the Don’t Kill My App website in your browser. It explains how phones close background apps.
- Follow the steps for your phone, then record your next flight.
Tap the close button at the top right of the sheet to dismiss it.
Good to know
- The warning only appears on Android.
