Spectator Course, Standings and Scored Panels
What the tabs on the spectator panel show when you watch an obstacle course live or in replay, and how to follow a pilot from the standings, the course or the activity feed.
Spectator Course, Standings and Scored Panels
When you watch an obstacle course, the spectator view adds a panel with the course, the standings and the pilots to watch. This article explains each tab. To open the view, see Watch a Live Competition or Meetup. To build a course, see Obstacle Course.
Where the panel sits
- Phone, upright: a bottom sheet. Drag the handle to make it taller or shorter. It snaps to set sizes.
- Phone, sideways: a rail of tab icons beside the map. Tap the arrow at the top of the rail to hide or show the panel next to it. Tap a task to open its details in a window. Tap Close to return.
- Large screens: a tab rail with the open tab beside it. Tap the back arrow at the top of the rail to leave the view. The tab you pick stays while the page is open.
The sheet shows the followed pilot’s card at the top. Swipe it sideways to move between pilots.
The tabs
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Map | Large screens only. Closes the panel so you see the whole map. |
| Who to watch | The pilot worth following now, and the pilots chasing the Next gate. |
| Course | The tasks of the course with their pilot results. |
| Pilot details | The followed pilot, or the leader if you follow nobody. |
| Leaderboard | The ranked standings. |
| Recent activity | Notable moments as they happen. |
The Live Tracking view has only Pilots and Recent activity. See Watch a Live Competition or Meetup.
Who to watch
Tap the Who to watch card to follow that pilot. Tap a pilot under Next gate to follow them. A short reason explains each pick, for example Closing the lead, Fastest pace now, Chasing the lead, Close to the ground, Tracker battery is low or Emergency signal.
Course
- Tap a task card to open it. It shows what the task is, what the pilots earn points for and the pilot results.
- Tap a pilot result to follow that pilot on the map.
- Tap the Pilot details icon on a result to open that pilot’s scores for the task.
- Tap Focus on followed by the pilot’s name to follow them. If you already follow them, the button reads Following.
- Tap Back to pilot results or Back to course to go back one level.
On a phone, tapping a task card or a task score chip opens the details in place of the pilot card. Tap the Close icon to return.
When something important happens, a small event toast appears at the top of the phone sheet. It shows only while the sheet is at its smallest size. Tap it to follow that moment’s pilot. Swipe it sideways to dismiss it.
The task header at the top of the phone screen has a Close icon on its right. Tap it to close the task details and return to the pilot card.
Task details show figures such as the total score, track score, speed score, timing score, penalties and the current leg. Which figures show depends on the task.
Pilot details
This tab shows the same scores as a pilot’s result in the Course tab, for the pilot you follow. Use Focus on followed by the pilot’s name to follow them.
Leaderboard
Tap a row to follow that pilot. The pilot you follow is highlighted. While an official task result is still held back, the heading reads Live published standings. Live scores are indicative and not final.
Recent activity
Tap a moment to follow its pilot. Tap the location chip on a moment to open that point in your phone’s maps app.
Follow a pilot
You can follow a pilot by tapping their marker on the map, their row in the standings or the course, or a moment in the feed. For the pilot card and its details, see Live Tracking.
