Flight Details on Leaderboards
Open the flight profile of a leaderboard entry, replay the flight, and for organisers read the scoring log and control when hidden gate and waypoint scores are released.
Flight Details on Leaderboards
Every leaderboard entry with a linked flight has a menu with tools for that flight. Pilots can open the flight profile. Group admins get more tools.
Open the menu
- Open a leaderboard in your group. For an obstacle course, see Obstacle Course.
- Find the entry in the standings.
- Tap the three dots (More) on the row. The dots show only when the entry has a linked flight.
The menu has:
- Flight profile for everyone.
- Scoring log, Rerun Scoring and Unlink Flight for group admins. Scoring log shows only on obstacle courses.
Flight profile
The Flight profile sheet shows the pilot, the date and these figures:
- Whole flight: Duration, Distance, Avg Speed, Min Alt, Max Alt, Max Speed, Max Climb and Max Sink.
- On this task: the same kind of figures for the part of the flight on the task.
- Timing points: on tasks that score timing, the points scored at each timed gate, shown as the score and the most that gate can give. When the course pools its timing, a single Pooled timing line shows instead.
Tap Replay Flight to watch the flight against the course.
If the flight never came near the task, the sheet says This flight didn’t fly this task.
For organisers
Scoring log
Scoring log lists the events of one flight in the order they happened, so you can see why it scored as it did. Typical rows are Flight started, Start gate crossed, Waypoint hit, Timing scored, Backtracking, No-fly zone entered, Outlanded and Flight ended. Timing rows say whether the pilot was on time, early or late, and what time was expected.
Two tags matter:
- Hidden marks an event on a hidden gate or waypoint.
- Reversal marks an event that cancels an earlier one. It says which event it reverses.
If the flight was scored before scoring logs were kept, the sheet says No scoring log for this flight. Tap Rerun Scoring on the entry, then open the log again.
Rerun scoring and unlink
Rerun Scoring scores the flight again. Unlink Flight removes the flight from the leaderboard after you confirm.
Hidden scoring
If the course has hidden gates or hidden waypoints, the Organise card on the leaderboard has a Hidden scoring section. Each task with hidden items has a row that opens its sheet.
For hidden gates, Gate scores decides when scores reach the public results:
- On task complete: held scores wait for the final scores of the task.
- Manual release: you choose when the held scores go out.
If you switch from Manual release to On task complete, Gaggle asks Publish held gate scores?. Tap Publish to publish the held scores to the standings now. You cannot undo it.
Hidden gate scores count in the official result straight away. They reach public results only when released.
For hidden waypoints, each waypoint is released either On flight complete or by Manual release. For a held waypoint, tap Release score now and confirm. The score is published for every pilot who scored it and for later flights. Its location stays hidden.
Two more actions close out a task:
- Publish final scores publishes any held hidden scores and locks the results of the task, even if the query window is open. You cannot undo it.
- Reveal hidden locations shows where the hidden gates or waypoints were on the public map. It is available once the final scores are published. Gates must be placed on the course first. You cannot undo it.
