In August we released our biggest ever update to the recording experience, custom layouts!

1. New Features

   • Custom recorder layouts are here! Create multiple layouts with one or many screens, with custom backgrounds. With 63 instruments (in multiple sizes) and counting, available in light/dark mode with optional glass, the combinations are endless! Try it out today under Recorder Settings > Custom Layouts.

2. Recording Improvements

   • Additional improvements to recording recovery
   • Prevent false recorder landings from invalid GPS motion — Preserve airborne recordings if the recorder restarts mid flight
   • Prevent duplicate flight finalization
   • Recorder screen optimization and performance improvements
   • Additional optimization of airspaces
   • Optimize variometer playback
   • Allow AIR3 tablets to validate offline

3. Avisory Improvements

   • Improvements to advisories audio cues, including summarizing and removing unnecessary warnings
   • Disable advisory audio when advisories are disabled in advisory settings
   • Move advisories below airspaces in the map detail bottom sheet
   • Further improve advisories UI and performance on the map
   • Additional optimization of airspace advisories

4. Other Improvements

   • 3D replay tile loading improvements
   • Simplify competition leaderboard tools
   • Add obstacle course waypoint cancellation setting
   • Optimize explore map marker rendering and limit airports

5. Notable Bugs Fixed 🐜 — Fix bug where recorder voice would not always set

   • Fix SoftRF FLARM devices from sending duplicate traffic updates

   • Fix subscription not updating after hitting Restore Purchases

   • Fix bug where powerline retry caused perforance issues on some Android devices
